At Tim McAmis Race Cars & Performance Parts, we support racers who are passionate about going fast and doing everything themselves. The same powerful work ethic, innovative spirit and drive to know every aspect of a race car is what lead Tim McAmis to win the first-ever Pro Modified World Championship in 1990. Two years later on November 1, 1992 the doors to a shop in Hawk Point, Missouri rolled up for the first time and Tim McAmis Race Cars (TMRC) was born.
The founding principles, superior products and “greatest customer service in the business” have allowed Tim McAmis Race Cars & Performance Parts to remain a trusted source and industry leader for over 30 years. Today, TMRC’s dedicated staff continues to design, build and manufacture state of the art drag racing parts, components and race cars catered to its customer’s needs.

COMPOSITE TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE

Hours of Work: Monday through Thursday 7:00 am-5:30 pm. Performance reviews after 30-60-90 days. Overtime as needed.

Duties to be Performed:

The primary focus of this position requires candidates to clean, set-up and maintain the molds, forms, material and tools used for the production of high-end carbon fiber and fiberglass automotive performance products. Candidates may be required to assist composite technicians during production processes as needed.

Skills and Abilities Needed:

• Basic cleanliness and attention to detail
• Manual dexterity and the ability to work on foot for long periods of time
• Able to lift/carry/stack items on carts, pallets, etc.
• Ability to work alone and with a team while managing time effectively
• Good attendance, strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Experience/Education Required:

High school or equivalent.  Must be able to read, write and speak English. Some Spanish is a plus. Candidates must be able to perform each given duty satisfactorily while maintaining a high standard of integrity and professionalism.

TIG WELDER

Duties to be Performed:

The primary focus of this position includes TIG welding of fabricated parts and components in a range of material including 4130 chromoly, titanium, aluminum and stainless steel.

Skills and Abilities Needed:

-Must have exceptional skills in the welding process of a variety of material including 4130 chromoly, titanium, aluminum and stainless steel.
-Possess a technical know-how of welding equipment and be able to weld components in various directions and positions.
-Able to produce welds that are perfect structurally and cosmetically.
-Fabrication skills, the ability to read blueprints, take measurements and use equipment such as saws, drill presses, metal-brakes and other tools.
-Ability to work with a team and manage time effectively.

Experience/Education Required:

Candidates must be able to perform each given duty satisfactorily while maintaining a high standard of integrity and professionalism. A background in motorsports and automotive technology is a plus.

Candidates who are unable to produce welds that are perfect structurally and cosmetically need not apply.

SolidWorks & Mastercam Designer / Programmer

Hours of Work: Monday through Thursday 7:00 am-5:30 pm.

Skills and Abilities Needed:

– Candidate should be able to take a conceptual drawing or vision of a component and turn it into a full 3D model.
– Ability to program machining process in Mastercam.
– Candidate should be able to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.
– Demonstrate excellent work ethic and reliability.
– Candidate should have excellent artistic skills and vision.

Qualifications:

– Proficient in 2D and 3D Surface Modeling in SolidWorks
– Proficient in programming in Mastercam
– Knowledge of Machining, Metal Fabrication, and Manufacturing Processes
– Proficient in operating HAAS CNC milling machines and other similar equipment
– 5+ Years of Experience (willing to consider less based on skills)
– Must be a Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects
– Must be willing to expand and learn new skills
– Must be willing to work in a shop environment

Job Responsibilities:

– New product design and development along with improvement to existing products.
– Assistance in the design of custom projects.
– Creation of bills of materials, assembly documentation, installation instructions, and drawings.
– Other responsibilities will be assigned as needed.

CNC Programmer
